Congressman Flake Spotlights Egregious Earmark of the Week
$238,000 for Equipment and Technology Upgrades at Finger Lakes Community College in New York
Washington, D.C.,
Nov 6, 2009 -
Republican Congressman Jeff Flake, who represents Arizona’s Sixth District, today highlighted a pork project contained in the omnibus spending bill for fiscal year 2009.
This week’s egregious earmark: $238,000 for equipment and technology upgrades at Finger Lakes Community College in New York.
“If Congress had their finger on the pulse of taxpayers, they’d stop earmarking,” said Flake.
